WHAT TO SEE

General admission to the Museum includes entry to the Museum building and its exhibits and operating layouts, and a tour of our 6-acre Railyard with over 70 pieces of historic railroad equipment and artifacts. Train rides are available on weekends April - November. Special events occur throughout the year; please check our Event Calendar. Fully stocked Gift Shop open during Museum hours.
Big trains and little trains delight visitors of all ages.

Everyone loves the Boston & Maine 1455 Steam Engine - and everyone gets to look inside!

Kids love the Lionel layout, especially when Thomas is pulling the train, while adults appreciate the skills of our modeling volunteers.

Not all of our many exhibits are "hands-off".

Yard tours are available to everyone, but sometimes the Junior Engineer prefers the play table.

Ride our original New Haven RR operating turntable - over 90 feet long

Both our Station and Turntable are on the
National Register of Historic Places
